Pierce Modern Gallery Opens in Downtown PASO!

PierceModern Gallery Opens Downtown!

Paso Robles, California – August 6, 2011 –  More fine art for downtown Paso Robles…. Contemporary fine art gallery joins the downtown area!

Downtown Paso Robles is continuing its growth into a quality area for visitors, offering some of the finest restaurants, best wine bars and tasting rooms and some of the best fine art available anywhere.

Pierce Modern Gallery joins the art scene in the downtown area.  Studios on the Park opened the doors to local artists in a working environment, the sculpture studio of Dale Evers Design Studio is here, Vale Fine Art opened its doors in July and now Pierce Modern will be opening its contemporary art gallery on Saturday, August 6, 2011 with a Welcome Party for all of Paso Robles as well as a Reception for the artist Michael Heath and his featured artwork.  You are invited to a night filled with fine art, food and drink!  7-10pm, wine pouring by Opolo Vineyards.

Downtown Paso Robles now boasts a growing collection of fabulous art and the addition of Pierce Modern Gallery, will keep Paso Robles on the map with a winning combination of Art, Wine and Food.

Pierce Modern, is expanding the boundaries of Paso Robles to bring exciting new artists and their work to California’s Central Coast Wine Country.  Pierce Modern is located at 617 12th Street, skirting the City Park, half a block from the Paso Robles Inn and across the street from Il Cortile Ristorante.  Hours are Thursday through Sunday, 12-9pm and by appointment.

Ok, so I guess I need to join the 21st century …  I keep hearing over and over that I need to have “Facebook”  linked to Art Central, so here we go – Can you help me to get the word out?  Let your friends know we’ve got a facebook page, and I’ll try to master it  – can’t be too difficult, right?

Our first “Cavort with Color” workshops for August are nearly full – this is exciting!  If you are interested in teaching one, please let me know.

Thanks so much to all of you who have been coming in and giving us such great recommendations to your friends.  Every day someone new comes in and tells me how excited they are to see us (and more importantly, all our great supplies & our beautiful gallery).

Some of the latest products to come in?  Holbein WATERSOLUBLE oils, Lyra Polycolor pencils, Tombow Markers, Arches watercolor board packs (great for plein aire and travel!), more children’s supplies…  and still more to come –

on order… colored Microns, more artist panels by Ampersand (Gessobord, Aquabord, Pastelbord…),  DaVinci BIG watercolor tubes, a wider selection of canvas rolls & stretched canvas, linen canvas boards, Inktense colored pencil assortment, Colour Shapers, different colored foamboard….

And of course, with Back to School just a couple of weeks away, I’m ordering truckloads of erasers, charcoal, drawing pads….
